Note de contenu :	English Quakers refused to pay "war taxes" (with different names) as soon as 1659, but accepted later on (1695). The subject came again in 1755 at the Pennsylvania Assembly, and the movement against war taxes was very strong in the second half of 18th century. The rebirth of Quaker war tax resistance in the 20th century came mainly from outside (Norway, Switzerland, Holland), at the beginning of World War II.
